Readers will enjoy their visit to the Empire State Building and other attractions in The Big Apple. Author Angela Lindsey takes us on a magical adventure to discover more about the history of magic. Waverly, Bobby, and their classmates attend a convention of magical powers in the large city. If you enjoyed Waverly the Witch, you’ll love the sequel. When Waverly loses her magical abilities, she and her classmates discover how to restore their skills. Readers are reminded to follow directions and obey signage, especially if a sign says, “Do not touch.” But I wouldn’t change someone else’s breakfast into pink eggs by casting a spell.
