Three of a Kind, the third book in the I’m No Princess novella series by Elizabeth Stevens, continues to follow Anya’s new life filled with royalty. Marriage Watch is all over the media and everyone is watching the three princes’ every move, which means they are watching Anya’s every move as well. Dmitri is getting closer and closer to fulfilling his obligation of becoming engaged. The media has narrowed the race down to Anya or Amanda Schuller, who seems perfect on the outside but is spiteful on the inside. While Anya and Dmitri are getting closer, she is so confident that Amanda will win his hand in marriage in the end. With all the media’s attention and her sister becoming distant, Anya just wants a semi-normal life.
I thought Anya grew up in the last book, but she really grew up in this book. I’ve always liked and respected her because she is so relatable, but I also admire how well she has adjusted to this royal life that she was thrown into. She can now clearly see Dmitri’s responsibilities to his country and what that would mean for her, for them, and for the entire country if she began a real relationship with him. There was also a lot more romance than the first two books, and it was oh-so-sweet! It wasn’t over-the-top either; it was just enough. Then the book goes and ends on kind of a cliffhanger! Even though it left me hanging, I can’t wait to read the fourth and final book in this lovely novella series. Elizabeth Stevens always knows how to keep a book engaging as well as keep you wanting more, especially with the romance aspect of a story. Three of a Kind is simply a feel-good book that will put a smile on your face from beginning to end.
