Dragged Down Deep by Michael Okon is a captivating tale that follows Logan Osborne, a passionate cryptozoologist burdened by his past. After surviving his last quest to prove the existence of the legendary Thunderbird, Logan returns home only to learn of the re-emergence of the Mermaid of the Hamptons, a creature his father pursued for many years. Logan witnessed the creature drowning his father, which drove him to vindicate his father's legacy and confront his own fears. Joined by his fellow cryptozoologist, Elliot, and his childhood friend, Penny, the trio uncovers unexpected truths and faces mysterious resistance from the townspeople and authorities. Complicating matters, Logan's ex-girlfriend turned nemesis, Aimee, resurfaces with secrets of her own.

Michael Okon’s Dragged Down Deep is an engaging read for anyone who enjoys stories about mysterious creatures and conspiracy theories. It’s one of the most intriguing stories I have ever read, capturing my attention from the first scene to the last. The narrative is unpredictable and emotionally rich, exploring Logan's struggles with grief, love, and redemption. His feelings for Aimee and Penny introduce a romantic element that adds depth to the story and enhances the overall dynamic. The book also features humorous moments and natural dialogue between the characters. The mysteries in the plot kept me captivated. The suspense of not knowing the secrets hidden in the town and what the characters would encounter next kept me on the edge of my seat. There is an underlying doubt that the author skillfully weaves throughout the narrative, prompting one to question whether Logan is genuinely pursuing the truth or merely being led by his past traumas. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, was shocked by the ending, and am excited that Logan's journey will continue. His family secrets remain to be uncovered, and I look forward to seeing how his story unfolds in future installments.

Dragged Down Deep by Michael Okon is a fast-paced adventure about the search for mythological and legendary creatures. Logan Osborne has spent his life searching for the strange and unusual; the stuff of folklore and legend. As a cryptozoologist, Logan has always been on the hunt for the mysterious and extraordinary creatures that supposedly inhabit our planet. As a boy he watched his father dragged under water to his death by what both believed was a mermaid. Together with his colleague Elliot, he has returned to his hometown of Minatuk to finally lay to rest the ghost of his father’s mysterious death and to uncover the truth about the “Mermaid of the Hamptons”. Although he will find help and support from his childhood friend, now police officer, Penny, he will soon discover that there are both local and governmental forces at work to ensure the pair are not only unsuccessful in their hunt but to make them disappear forever,

Dragged Down Deep is based on a slightly unusual premise but one that author Michael Okon manages to imbue with believability and a sense of reality that is a tribute to the author’s storytelling. The characters are well-drawn and the writing is descriptive and compelling. The idea that there are dark forces within our government determined to hide the truth about our world from the general public is certainly not a new one but the author does an excellent job of creating a unique scenario for particular seekers of truth. I enjoyed Logan's determination to expose the truth about his father’s death and remove the stigma attached to the idea of it being a suicide. The relationship between Logan and Penny was well developed and it was a satisfying buildup to the final realization. This is a simple, easy-to-read story that allows us to escape from the humdrum of everyday life and enjoy a flight of fancy. I highly recommend this read.

Dragged Down Deep is a supernatural/sci-fi mystery by Michael Okon. At the tender age of nine, Logan Osbourne saw a mermaid taking his father down in a lake in Hampton Bays. But no one believed him after his father went missing. Since then, Logan has dedicated his life to searching for mythical creatures of legends as a cryptozoologist. After an unexpected call from his childhood friend Penny, Logan discovers that there has been another disappearance in his hometown. This time, it's Penny's twin brother, Rory. Alongside his friend, Elliot, Logan arrives in the Hamptons and delves into the investigation. However, the local police seem hell-bent on covering up any peculiar events, while Logan's ex-girlfriend, Aimee, is loyal to a powerful organization. With evidence of other victims mounting, will Logan find the creature that has haunted his nightmares?

Borrowing elements from both fantasy and sci-fi, Michael Okon delivers a riveting mystery that is guaranteed to keep thriller fans glued to the pages. You never know what to expect from this book. Okon builds on a promising premise and has crafted a gripping tale that takes you by surprise with each twist and turn of the plot. The reveals are unexpected, and the characters have hidden motives that bring additional tension and friction to the character interactions, which adds plenty of drama to the narrative. Dragged Down Deep is a science fiction novel at its core that plays out like a supernatural mystery. The last few pages will shock even the most ardent mystery reader. In addition, the relationship dynamics are intriguing, and you can't help but become invested in the characters. In conclusion, it's a gem of a book for mystery readers.

In Michael Okon's Dragged Down Deep, Logan Osborne was nine when he witnessed a greenish creature pull his father from their boat. No one took Logan's story seriously, and Officer Kain threatened to send him to Cedar Haven if he continued making wild claims. Logan devoted his life to discovering mythical creatures and proving their existence beyond mere imagination. Penny and her twin brother, Rory, remained friends with Logan even after he moved away from the Hamptons. Two years ago, a rookie police officer vanished without a trace and was never found. In the week leading up to the officer's disappearance, numerous sightings had been reported. Concerned that Rory might be one of the couple who went missing the night before, Penny invited Logan back to the Hamptons for help.

Dragged Down Deep by Michael Okon was captivating and complex. I found myself immersed in this universe where mythical beings exist. The writing style kept me engaged, and I was hooked from the first page to the last. There was so much action that it was impossible to put the book down. I flipped through the pages as fast as possible to discover what would happen next. The characters were robust and well-crafted. Logan committed his life to discovering evidence of mythical creatures, collaborating with his colleagues Elliot and Penny to unravel the mystery behind the strange disappearances. The trio received no assistance from the authorities and soon found themselves in conflict with a covert organization. The story was skillfully written, and all the incidents felt believable. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this story.
