On Jamaica Government Service: An Adam Emerson Novel is a crime thriller by Dane Andrew. Adam’s aunt was murdered so he turned to his childhood friend Patrick for help. Adam’s hunt for his aunt’s killer attracted the wrong kind of attention. A shootout that Adam and Patrick were involved in was caught on camera and extortion ensued. The blackmailer had a photo of Patrick and a gang leader in front of a stash of drugs and threatened Adam that he would release the photo if Adam did not help him. The blackmailer demanded that Adam find two previous investigators who had gone missing. Adam’s instructions came in an official envelope, but he had no idea how the government knew where to find him as his address was a closely guarded secret.
On Jamaica Government Service by Dane Andrew is an action-packed story that grabs your attention from the first page. The storyline is realistic, and I was intrigued from the start. There were so many twists and turns that I never knew what would happen next. The story is fast-paced and crammed with incidents. There are a large number of characters, and they were all well-developed. Their personalities were realistic and amazing. Adam was fascinating, and his skills posed a serious threat to his blackmailer and anyone who stood in his way. The story is masterfully written, and the suspense kept me on the edge of my seat. This was a thrilling read, and I did not want to put it down.
