Dr. Alan Glass, a twenty-eight-year-old weapons inspector, has a near-perfect life. A fulfilling job that helps make the world a better place, a wife and daughter he adores, and parents and in-laws he gets along with make him content with his life. Unfortunately, all this changes when tragedy befalls Alan. An event in North Korea during one of his assignments, leading to the death of an Iraqi, causes Alan’s family to be targeted. Alan gets home to find his beloved wife and six-year-old daughter brutally tortured and murdered. His parents and in-laws are also killed in the most horrific way possible, save for his wife’s brother, who is now a quadriplegic after the attack. Now, the same people who killed his family are after Alan. Can he make it out of this situation alive? Find out what happens to Alan in Olive Eye by Doc Richter.
Olive Eye by Doc Richter is one of the best action novels I’ve read lately. While it had a slow start, it picked up the pace fairly quickly, and there were times I could hardly bear to put it down. The plot is unpredictable and gritty, with pulsating action scenes that will leave you breathless as Alan journeys to different continents and countries to escape his pursuers and in his quest for revenge. You can’t help but root for Alan and ache with him as he grieves for his family. His character arc is expertly written. Fans of action thrillers will feel right at home with Olive Eye by Doc Richter. It’s so good that I can see it being adapted into a movie!
