Some songs are among the favorites of our childhood, which are always a pleasure to listen to and rediscover. Knick-Knack Paddy Whack is one of the most popular children's songs, and as it happens with all beautiful things, it is fun to modify it and create a new version. This is what happens in Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 by Nita Marie Clark. In this amazing book, illustrated by Kathy N. Doherty, young readers will meet Curly and Old Sarge, a dog and his owner, who wander from sunrise to nightfall singing the popular tune with brand new words. Join them and start singing out loud!

All children's books should be read aloud by a parent or another adult. Their words (and worlds) are always magical, and they become even more fabulous when an expert voice guides little readers through the pages. This practice is not just recommended but mandatory when you read Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0. I believe the suggestion of Nita Marie Clark's book is not merely to read a story and observe its colorful images. Above all, it invites you to join Curly and Old Sarge and sing together with them. It is mainly for this reason that I liked the idea of Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 so much, and I will not be alone. If you have children, especially very young ones, this is the right book to entertain and amuse them. I wish all readers of Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 a lot of fun.

Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0, written by Nita Marie Clark and illustrated by Kathy N. Doherty, is a fresh take on a popular nursery rhyme. We’ve all heard it as children. We all know the lyrics. Now we can sing this updated version of the song with a fun twist while following Curly and Old Sarge on their little adventure. They stroll through the town along the street, and on the way, they collect bones for Old Sarge. As they spend their day singing and seeing all the people in town, they end up having a lot of fun!

I adore picture books based on nursery rhymes. Not only does it give parents a chance to reminisce and revisit their childhood, but it also gives them a chance to introduce the original nursery rhymes and a new way to have fun with their children. That is exactly what happened when I read this book. I found myself singing along in my head, remembering my kindergarten days. Plus, you can even turn the book into a fun hidden picture game. There is a new bone to find on almost every page, so kids will enjoy looking for them. Reading Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 by Nita Marie Clark isn’t really about reading at all. It’s singing! And what kid doesn’t love singing? Take a trip down memory lane with the familiar nursery rhyme and discover a new way to sing the song while enjoying the story that goes along with it.

Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0, written by Nita Marie Clark and illustrated by Kathy N. Doherty, is a children’s picture book. The book centers around an old Welsh folk song called “This Old Man” but uses a new version of the song to deliver its message. This tune is present throughout the book, and each page has vibrant drawings with the words or rather lyrics on the page, so the reader can sing along while admiring those fantastic illustrations. The book features Curly, who plays the Welsh song while strolling in his neighborhood, and his dog named Sarge. Each performance awards Curly with a bone for old Sarge, and once the sunlight fades, they head on home with enough bones for all the pups to share.

Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 by Nita Marie Clark was a pretty fun book to read. It was even more enjoyable because I read it along with my little brother. Seeing him enjoy it and sing along with a smile made the experience even better. The illustrations are vibrant. They’ve also got a nice amount of detail, so kudos to Kathy N. Doherty for providing such marvelous visuals to look at. The song played throughout the book was also significant because it was easy to get in the rhythm and sing along. All in all, this is a great children’s picture book. My brother can attest to that. So I’d definitely recommend Knick-Knack Paddy Whack Version 2.0 to readers with a younger sibling or child.
