Beyond the Red Carpet (Hollywood Lies) Volume 1 by Debbra Lynn is a tale of murder and mystery. Sophia Donovan married a high profile Hollywood director. It was love at first sight and she had everything she could ever have dreamed of. So where did it all go wrong? The secrets and the lies that lay behind the façade of a seemingly perfect marriage would, if exposed, ruin more than one life. Sophia is about to be forced to make decisions she never dreamed she would have to make as she faces the return of an old friend, betrayal, and having to fight for her own life. Will she choose the high life or will she head off on the lonely road of trying to save a marriage that may not be worth fighting for?
Beyond the Red Carpet (Hollywood Lies) Volume 1 by Debbra Lynn is a fast paced book that flips between the present and the past, allowing the reader to see how things unfolded and what led to the decisions that were made. The story is a strong one, the plot was excellent and clearly very well thought out. The character development leaves a reader in no doubt as to who the main protagonists and antagonists are. The way the book has been written drip feeds the information to readers so that the whole story comes together nicely throughout, rather than having all the facts up front. I enjoyed this story very much and am looking forward to reading the next instalment.
