Everyone is special and unique. Everything about us is special and unique as well. In the children's book, Your Body Rocks! Learning About Private Parts, Consent, Anatomy, Reproduction, and Gender! by Emily Lauren Dick, children will discover that mastering your body and its various parts is the beginning of acceptance and self-love. Once you learn to love and accept yourself, you're able to better understand and embrace others. Emily takes the reader through various transitions of the body from our private parts, reproduction system, and gender identification to the importance of saying no if you don't feel safe with someone touching you.
I am glad that Emily Lauren Dick created Your Body Rocks! because it allows children the ability to read about their bodies in private. This book gives them the freedom to fully understand some of the emotions and concerns that they may have about their body, private parts, or reproductive system and could be too embarrassed to ask or talk about. Here children can clearly identify the proper words for their body parts. This book helps the reader to discover and realize the beauty of our bodies while not allowing ourselves to be compromised by inappropriate touching. Children are more curious about their bodies than we adults realize so here's a book that offers the comfort and privacy that they need to get some answers to their many questions. Highly recommended.
