Some word repetitions were present, and parts of the story read like a screenplay, but the scenes shifted quickly, keeping the reader engaged in the action. Henry Regnault provided the backstory for most of his characters so the reader would feel a connection to them. I enjoyed the gentle twist at the end, and I felt the author was consistent with the actions of his characters. I recommend the book to experienced readers, as there are some graphically mature scenes involving blood, gore, and sex.
