The Pinkaboos, Bitterly and the Giant Problem by Laura Gosselin and Jake Gosselin is a delightful story for children which revolves around two friends, Abyssma and Belladonna, school and bullying. It is a perfect story to discuss with children the fears that bother them while growing up. The story speaks about the challenges that children face during their childhood and growing up years. In the book, the reader gets to see Abyssma and Belladonna overcome their nightmares and their time at Fright School through the whimsical world of Pinkaboos. The Pinkaboos, Bitterly, Belladonna and Abyssma, and the Major Frights, Vex and Miss Viper, will take readers on an entertaining trip while reading this book.
The book speaks about a relevant and important topic and is laced with whimsy and magic. It is an attractively presented story that will capture reader attention. The book has some excellent tactics that will help kids overcome their fears. Miss Viper's class scenes are entertaining and the illustrations give life and movement to the story. The story is highly imaginative with delightfully expressed moments to keep kids glued to the pages. True to the title, the color pink dominates the theme and the pictures in the story.
I liked the story because it is original and it presents a relevant topic which makes the read very exciting and refreshing. The author's unique portrayal of characters and scenes with a touch of whimsy and a dash of pink makes it a fun read and gives the story the much required punch.
