The Marshal's Lady: A Time Travel Western Romance is the third book in the Liberty Valley Love series by Josie Malone, a beautifully written story that can be read as a standalone novel. Time travel, history, and romance meld in this spellbinding narrative to create an unforgettable reading experience. Beth Chambers is a homicide detective who is doing everything to prove her worth. Following a serial killer, she steps beyond the limits of time and finds herself in 1888. When she encounters former Union Soldier, Marshal Rad Morgan, she decides to help him, but Rad doesn’t think that a woman like Beth should be helping valiant soldiers like himself. That is, until he is shot and left with no other help but hers. As they surrender to the attraction they have for each other, they will have to stop a deadly killer too. But how about their destiny?
The premise is powerful: two people from different centuries pursuing the same serial killer and falling in love had me enthralled. Even if they succeed in defeating the killer, where will their love lead? I loved the originality in this premise and the robust characters. The story is suspenseful and there are many questions racing through the minds of readers as they follow the characters. The characters are fully drawn, complex, and they evolve through the story in ways that are surprising. This is a brilliantly written story and an entertaining romp through the present and the past. Josie Malone wields interesting changes in the genre, lifting the narrative to the level of a masterpiece. The Marshal's Lady: A Time Travel Western Romance is a beautiful tale of adventure, romance, and time travel that will surely put readers on the edge of their seats.
