I Can See Your Heart by Nikki Vaughn is a heartfelt children's picture book that teaches kids the importance of spreading love and positivity through kind words and actions. When you say something nice to someone or share an uplifting message with someone in need, you show them your loving and caring heart. In contrast, if you belittle others, make them feel down, or speak negatively behind their backs, you show them that your heart lacks empathy and kindness. Words hold great power in both building up and tearing down others. This book encourages children to be compassionate, helpful, and pleasant toward others, guided by the teachings of Jesus. By doing so, they can be the best version of themselves and a blessing to those around them.
I Can See Your Heart conveys an inspiring message about the significant impact our words and actions have on others. The heart in this context refers to our spiritual essence—the core of our character that drives our words and actions. Both adults and children can benefit from the lessons in this book, finding ways to show kindness and empathy in their everyday interactions. Nikki Vaughn highlights the importance of encouraging, praying for, and supporting others. It is crucial to instill the values of compassion and love in children from an early age, as this lays a strong foundation for their character. The book also shares the good news of Jesus' transformative power, which fosters love within us and empowers us to extend that love to others. Vibrant art complements the narrative beautifully. The illustrations are separate from the text, making it easier for children with reading difficulties to focus on the words without distractions. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and found it to be a beautiful reminder of the importance of kindness and the significant impact our words can have on others.
