Sophie Lost and Found: The Englands Book One by Rebecca Winkler is the story of two lost souls who find solace in one another, only to have their happiness challenged by the past. Sophie is unlike any other woman. The tragedies in her life have hardened her, but nothing made her stronger than losing her husband at a very young age. Miserable and alone, she is surprised to find that she has mysteriously inherited a lot and she is expected to accept it in Italy where she is originally from. Once there, she struggles to find out more about her past, only to be disappointed.
However, there is finally a light in her life when she meets Jamie. When they first met, he was married with two children, but fate has brought them back together once again and this time there are no hurdles between them. Happily married, they finally have some much needed peace and love that they were desperately missing in their lives. However, their respite is short lived when their past comes knocking to destroy their happiness. It is now up to Jamie and Sophie to think about their safety rather than how happy they are with each other. Can they finally have what they want? Or does fate have other plans for them?
Beautifully developed and achingly precious, Sophie Lost and Found is an amazing novel. I was absorbed in the story right from the beginning and I wanted Sophie to have her happily ever after. Jamie was a pleasant surprise; I was not expecting to like him as much as I did. By the time I finished reading, Jamie became my absolute favorite. I cannot wait to start the next novel in the series, because I have high expectation from Rebecca Winkler, which I’m sure she will live up to.
