Shadow Tag: Perdition Games by L.E. Fraser is a crime thriller with strong psychological underpinnings, a novel that grips the reader from the very start and doesn't lessen the grip until the exhilarating conclusion. Ten years ago, a family was destroyed in an unprecedented act of violence committed one night. Now, ten years later, Reece Hash of the Toronto Crown attorney’s office discovers evidence indicating that many closed cases might be homicides. Investigating the rape of a patient at a private psychiatric hospital, Reece and his partner Samantha McNamara begin to think that a serial killer is at large, out to settle scores or to exact punishment across Toronto. But how is it related to the reputable psychiatric hospital?
L.E. Fraser's gift for plot and character is exemplified in this thriller, a novel deftly plotted with numerous twists and exhilarating turns. The novel features themes that are intelligently developed, including murder, medical corruption, and blackmail. The characters are real and the author plumbs the depths of their psyches to explore the thing that makes each of them tick. The suspenseful writing melds with the carefully crafted twists in the plot to provide great entertainment for readers. What kept me turning the pages was the strong sense of suspense and the unpredictability in the plot. The author keeps readers guessing, occasionally providing glimpses of what could happen and keeping them fully engrossed in the story. Shadow Tag: Perdition Games is a spellbinding story that puts the reader right on the edge of their seat; it is emotionally intense and psychologically engaging.
