Pablo Padilla was dead. The three men had spent decades waiting for the news. David, Jeff and Chuck could go for the treasure. Several years previously the men came across a crime, a gruesome murder. They escaped with their lives and with the secret of hidden treasure. Padilla stood between the men and the treasure.
Patrick Kingrea was attempting to revive his lawn when he found a long buried can with a message inside. Ribbon Falls, the name was intriguing. The message was mysterious: cave, ledge above entrance, and 3 shares in packs. When men came looking for the can, Patrick knew it was not a joke. He also knew he was in danger.
Patrick held the key the men needed to find the treasure they had waited decades to retrieve. Patrick hunted the treasure not knowing he was the hunted.
How far would you go for a treasure? Would you steal, would you commit murder? Ribbon Falls is an entertaining read. The plot reads like a treasure hunt with death as the prize. Brad Anderson introduces the villains at the beginning of the story. I immediately took a dislike to David. Patrick was a likable sort with flaws. I found myself rooting for him. All in all this is a good read.
