Please Still Love Me by Jo Toddly is a beautiful children's picture book that tells a touching story to assure children they are loved and never alone. It also contains fantastic illustrations and a great life lesson. It shows us how to express our love, thoughts, and emotions to those around us, especially when asked. The tale is about Little One, who is still incomplete and therefore goes through a metamorphosis. As he observes his body changing, Little One gets a little nervous and asks Big One if he still loves him even though he is not the same. Big One doesn't answer right away, leaving Little One feeling alone and unsure. Will Big One tell Little One what he feels about his transformation?
This little book made me smile, feel compassion, and warmed my heart. It's a friendly, thoughtful, and quick read about the importance of showing your love to those closest to you. I adored it and loved the way it was written. The author has an authentic voice. Her words seem simple in the beginning but are much deeper and much more profound in the end. I'm sure that very young readers and their parents will love reading it as a bedtime story. Please Still Love Me by Jo Toddly is an awesome and inspirational little book filled with vibrant colors that will draw children's attention. It's recommended for all parents as it's about children discovering who they are and wondering if they are still loved.
