D. RUDD WISE is a true native Texan, born in Dallas. He spent his younger years roaming the open ranges and oil fields for American Indian relics and lost treasures. His grandfoather, Pop Wise, sat with him in flint beds looking for arrowheads.
He spent most of his adult life in the military, Navy and Air Force, and retured Master Seargent after 24 years. He obtained his Associates Degree in the Air Force and studies at Indiana University of Kokomo, Indiana.
After retirement, he finished his first novel, Operation:Eyewitness, and its sequel Amarillo Mariposa; children's book The Three Little Orphan Kittens; working on the third novel in the series The Shallow's Deep Secrets; received his diver's certification and private pilot's license.
He and his wife Rachel are professional treasure hunters, always researching for treasures and stories for novels. Their personal travels have taken them from his thirty-one months in Morocco to the Big Bend in Texas; Copper Harbor in Michigan's upper pennisula; diving on Spanish Galleons on the East Coast of Florida; Civil War battlefields in the southern and eastern United States; Cape May, New Jersey; relic and water hunting in Northern Indiana.

Operation: Eyewitness begins with a bang. Treasure hunter, Jess E. Hanes had a layover in Casablanca, Morocco. The former military pilot – Secret Service Officer was in the wrong place at the wrong time. He’d just settled into the last bathroom stall when he heard the gun shots. The killers slid a canvas bag filled with explosives under the stall door. Although he managed to kick the bag out of the stall he was still badly injured in the explosion. He was the only witness to the murder of the king’s brother, leaving Jess the target of the murderers. Jess teams up with a beautiful agent to help the King. Will Jess give in to temptation? Will he and JJ both survive?
D. Rudd Wise is a talented author. He has created a fascinating hero, Jess E. Hanes. Jess and JJ were both multidimensional. Wise even took the time to develop the secondary characters. It is delightful to read about a hero that has Christian morals. This book begins with fast paced action and continues throughout the book. The plot is realistic and could have been ripped from current headlines. This book has it all: intrigue, suspense, mystery, action, and a touch of romance. Terrorist, drug smugglers, missile attacks, explosions, plan crashes, dynamite, bathroom stall doors and broken noses, make this an exciting adventure that I didn’t want to lay down. I was reminded a little bit of Dirk Pitt except Dirk was always larger than life and Jess Hanes is more realistic. I truly enjoyed Operation: Eyewitness. D. Rudd Wise you have a new fan.
