Obsidian Tears (Apparition Lake Book 2) by Daniel D. Lamoreux and Doug Lamoreux is a nail biting supernatural thriller set against the stunning background of Yellowstone National Park. The earth is quaking and Old Faithful is not running on schedule. A man has been found dead and a locked box is discovered underneath his decomposing body. Inside the box is a mysterious item that has questionable origins. While protecting the item, one of Yellowstone's Rangers becomes the victim of a gruesome murder.
After Chief Ranger Glenn Merrill takes possession of the box and its contents, he witnesses another man die a horrific death in close proximity to the mysterious item. Taking the box to the nearby reservation, Glenn reaches out to his friend Johnny Two Feathers for help deciphering what its significance is, and if it has any connections to the earth tremors. Has a Native American legend come to life? Death is stalking Yellowstone, massacring animals and humans alike. Glenn and Johnny must find a way to stop the evil before there is nothing left to save.
Obsidian Tears (Apparition Lake Book 2) by Daniel D. Lamoreux and Doug Lamoreux was exciting and frightening. I was captivated all the way to the end by the evil that not only had terrorized the park, but was also threatening the earth's inhabitants. I loved the location and the plot. I loved the fact that the storyline was based around a Native American legend and felt that it was inspired. I found the story to be fascinating, a little scary, and educational.
