Melvin Fastidious the Sailor by Dawn Young is a delightful book that introduces young readers to Melvin and his fastidiousness as a sailor and as a father in an entertaining way. Bryan Werts gives clarity to the author's words with his bright and wonderful illustrations and makes the character of Melvin palpable to readers.
