Lucy the cat wanted to go out and play. She saw a birdie sitting outside her window. She asked the birdie to be her friend so that they could go outside and play. They thought they could get to know each other once they started to play. They had a lot of fun and it was like a dream. Slowly it became night and Lucy was afraid because she could not see her house and was lost. She was as quiet as a mouse and did not know what to do next. She saw a police officer with a shiny badge. He introduced himself as Officer Shaun and wanted to know why Lucy was outside. There was a tag on Lucy's collar which had a name and an address on it and so Officer Shaun knew where to take her. Lucy decided that she would never go outside without a grownup and she knew if she lost her way, a police officer would help her.
