B. Lising got his first copy of the Bible at the age of fourteen. The year was 1986, and after only twelve months, he had read the Old Testament once and the New Testament twice. He did not understand much then, but he still loves to read Scripture. His love for the Word inspired him to begin writing, resulting in his first two books "Laodicea" and "Back to Where We Came From." B. Lising believes in the perfect consistency of Scripture—that all books of the Bible hold only a single message. He is also convinced that the last book is a summary of the whole Bible. The book of Revelation connects all the dots and reveals the big picture to us. B. Lising is an engineer by profession and currently lives with his beloved wife and four wonderful children.

In Jerusalem & the Three Conflicts by B. Lising, the theological significance of Jerusalem is investigated through biblical texts, accentuating its symbolism of peace, safety, and unity with God. The absence of the sea in the new heaven and earth represents the removal of barriers between humanity and God, part of God's salvation plan. Lising takes a hard look into conflicts between covenants, such as the contrast between Cain and Abel, and elevates Jesus' actions as a release from the old covenant. The earthly realm plays a crucial role in God's salvation plan, despite historical conflicts like the exodus from Egypt. The importance of understanding biblical prophecies and spiritual truths, as well as unity among believers in preparation for the Second Coming, is stressed throughout, with Lising concluding with reflections on faith and the promise of a purified existence.
In Jerusalem & the Three Conflicts: The Mystery of the Everlasting Kingdom Explained, B. Lising does an exceptional job of providing a comprehensive view of Jerusalem, both in its earthly and heavenly manifestations. Most importantly, this is done with a consistent emphasis on the authority of Scripture, with every single argument backed up by references to biblical passages. In other words, and as my teen daughter would say, Lising 'keeps the receipts.' Lising writes in a style and tone that are relatable and accessible, regardless of prior understanding, so the work is appropriate for all readers. The standout lesson for me is on the role of testimony in preparing for Christ's return, its significance in the context of eschatological preparation, and linking it to passages such as Revelation 12:11, which speak of believers overcoming the accuser through the blood of the Lamb and the word of their testimony. Intelligent, thought-provoking, and incredibly important. Very highly recommended.
