Infinite Aisa by Clare-Rose Trevelyan is a young adult coming-of-age tale. This illustrated novel follows the story of Aisa Rio Caprice, a young theater actor, living in the innovative entertainment city of Pestqiue in Harlow, who is trying to change the world for the better. Apart from trying to make her name as an actor, Aisa is also a revenge artist (RA) who runs a covert revenge business, helping people who want to get back at those who did them wrong by pulling unique pranks. After a fallout with her best friend, Waspy, Aisa leaves the prestigious ChaChaCha Theater for their rundown rival, the Astor Theatre. But now, with the upcoming Silver Skeleton Awards, Aisa will have to face her old friends again, which might turn into a disaster. Will she be able to pull off one last revenge?
Author Clare-Rose Trevelyan infuses a lot of heart, humor, and drama into this absorbing coming-of-age story about a young woman's quest to find her place in the world. Infinite Aisa is about chasing one's dreams and destiny while navigating friendships, family, and the unique challenges of life. The narrative immerses you from start to finish, complimented by some fascinating artwork by Yongho Moon, which makes the characters leap off the pages. Trevelyan's characters feel like people you may have met in the real world who chase their dreams and try to change the world. The dialogue feels realistic and witty. Toward the end, you will find some beautiful song lyrics from Clare-Rose's own musical album to enjoy. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and can't recommend it highly enough.
