How To Be An Adult: Funny Little Stories is written by Ralph Bismargi. Jax Tyler Mann, “JTM,” is a forty-seven-year-old man with a seventy-year-old body. He also possesses the brain of a five-year-old, but oftentimes is far more slow-witted and short-tempered to adapt and move on, as his imaginary friends, Professor John Bickerwith and Reverend Two Eyes have done. In fact, his imaginary friends no longer believe he’s real. While growing up, JTM assumed the world revolved around him and was appalled to learn otherwise. JTM lacks patience, social and professional skills, so interacting with others sometimes has repercussions. Ask his former secretary or the neighbor’s dog. He even had a falling out with himself. Mid-life crisis certainly has its drawbacks.
If you think you have problems or issues, speak to JTM. He’s not good at remembering names either, so he will assign you one until he gets it right. On the brighter side, if he didn’t make mistakes, JTM would not have learned to correct his many flaws and insecurities that made him mature into a better adult in his late forties. How To Be An Adult is a collection of amusing tales and anecdotes of Jax Tyler Mann's life from his childhood years to adulthood. Maybe a reader or two will have similar traits like JTM’s? Ralph Bismargi has shown how the simplest things in life should be appreciated through his witty writing and protagonist, JTM. It’s a light-hearted comedy that readers, especially the mature group, will get a chuckle from.
