Blueberry Bubble Gum was written by Mahamad Ali Elfakir and illustrated by Victor Guiza. Max has a bad habit of not telling the truth. Max would tell lies to his family and friends without understanding that lies hurt people. Max’s father gave him a special bag of blueberry bubble gum and told him not to chew it until he knows the rules. Max promises to do as his father asks but the temptation is more than Max can resist. He pops several pieces in his mouth and begins to chew. When his mother asks if he chewed the gum, Max tells another lie. When Max passes gas, a large blue bubble pops out of the back of Max’s pajama bottoms. He yells for his mom, who tries various methods to pop the bubble with no success. The more gas Max emits, the larger the bubble gets. The bubble lifts Max up and floats him off to Blueberry Bubble Gum World where Max learns the importance telling the truth and following the rules.
