Maurice McFadden understands dogs. He knows what dogs need and how important they are to humankind and expands on this theme in Blessings Are For Dogs Too. Dogs have a long history of blessing people, but Maurice wants us to remember that we need to bless dogs. There are untold thousands of dogs across the globe that have either been in abusive homes or left to fend for themselves. These dogs need our help and compassion. In this tale, Malik and his family go to an animal shelter and see many dogs. When he finds Ollie, Malik falls in love immediately. The animal shelter cleans Ollie up before he goes to his new adoptive home with Malik and his family. The family bonds and love flows both ways. While the humans are blessed by Ollie’s unconditional love and companionship, Ollie is blessed by the care and attention the humans give him.
Dogs are a blessing to those who have them as companions. There is no other animal as loyal and faithful as a dog. Many animals are used as a source of food, but dogs are personal. They are true friends who always accept you and are devoted to a fault. I’ve read of dogs that died from grief when their human friend died. Humankind has benefited from the multitude of blessings from dogs. In turn, we can bless dogs by adopting one in need. Rescuing dogs is very fulfilling. The dog gives back way more than it could ever cost. My daughter rescued a dog that is now proud to be called my grand-puppy. He deserves the blessings of security, safety, love, and provision. It is our job to bless the dogs of the world. Read Blessings Are For Dogs Too by Maurice McFadden and be blessed. Adopt a dog and be a blessing.
