Her sister, Emmie, needs constant care after their parents' fatal car accident. Meanwhile Dale Bonnier, a widowed pastor, ministers to two rural Louisiana churches. Despite his inspiring sermons and kindness, Dale carries the weight of a troubled past involving drug addiction that destroyed his family decades ago.
