While you may get frustrated with Caroline and her naivete, we must remember that this is what abusers do to their victims. The important thing is that she eventually saw the truth and managed to put her life back together again, and her sheer courage shines through in how, with God on her side, she rebuilt her life from the ashes of what she thought was a happy marriage. This is a hard read, but it’s one you will not be able to put down.
