Washington State native Crystal Connor is a horrorpreneur who loves anything to do with monsters, bad guys, rogue scientific experiments, jewelry, sky-high high heel shoes and unreasonably priced hang bags.
Connor has been writing science fiction and horror since Jr. High her, is published in various anthologies and is the author of the Spectrum Trilogy. Connor’s début novel, The Darkness, the first book in the Spectrum Trilogy was selected as a two time Award-Winning Finalist in the 2011 International Book Awards in the fiction categories of Cross Genre Fiction and Multicultural Fiction.
Connor’s club affiliations include the Seattle Women’s Writing Group, Black Science Fiction Society and the Fictioneers.

"And They Lived Happily Ever After" is a collection of stories by Crystal Connor. This anthology takes the reader on a multi-faceted trip through non-traditional horror and suspense. Most readers will enjoy being drawn into this collection of tales in such a way that the line between fantasy and reality gets blurred very quickly. Unlike some anthologies I have read where the stories seem somewhat disjointed or lack continuity, Connor does a wonderful job creating a sense of connection, a feeling that you have entered a world she has created and all you can do is hang on as you are pulled deeper and deeper in with each story.
"And They Lived Happily Ever After" by Crystal Connor starts out with a series of reports or ads, then turns into a narrative, shifting gears into a newspaper and then press releases, with some history and background sprinkled in. This made it feel somewhat choppy for me, but while it didn’t detract from any story, it did keep shifting gears, changing the tempo of the overall work. I enjoy reading stories that take the familiar and give them a unique and creative twist. Overall, this is a good collection of stories that will engage you and take you on a journey you won’t soon forget. 'Christmas Wish' and 'Monster' were the stories that stuck out the most as they really reached out and grabbed my attention...and made me turn the lights back on. A final word of warning: don’t read these alone in a dark room.
