Wrong Place, Right Time is the story of traffic reporter Kate, who is in love with her friend and coworker Brian, who is all set to marry his high school sweetheart. Kate does what any true love believer would; she follows Brian and his intended to Las Vegas where she fully intends to interrupt the nuptials with her declaration of love. The problem is Kate interrupts the wrong nuptials and creates a pretty big problem for Chad Leida. Chad needs a bride by his 30th birthday to secure his inheritance and Kate has just chased his bride away. Kate wants to marry a man she is head over heels in love with, but that man is set to marry another. Brooke Williams does a fantastic job of making Kate a die-hard romantic without her coming across as ultra-naïve. The adventure she ends up on with Chad just may change her entire outlook.
Author Brooke Williams has taken the marriage of convenience story and turned it on its head. It isn’t just proximity that forges a connection between Chad and Kate; it is also the bizarre situations in which they find themselves that bound them together. Her lingering feelings for Brian make Wrong Place, Right Time more than an easy romance read. Neither Kate nor Chad are what they seem initially and as the story develops the layers that make them up slowly unravel. There are reasons for the desperation of Kate and Chad and, once those are revealed, you realize that these are two people in need of love and they just might be perfect for each other.
