Now twenty-three years old, Phoebe fears that she may remain unmarried as she watches her close friends settle down with their husbands and raise families. However, when the local bishop of the close-knit midwestern Amish community offers her a chance to become a nurse, Phoebe enrolls with great enthusiasm at the community college of Rice Lake, Wisconsin, in a two-year nursing program. After rejecting an unexpected marriage proposal from a foreign exchange student, she finds herself courted by a handsome young Amish man named Stephen. Soon, Phoebe will discover love and the true values of Amish life.
Worry Ends Where Faith Begins is a heartfelt story about a young woman's search for love in a small Amish community. Author Stephanie Schwartz captures perfectly the very essence of the tranquil nature of the Amish life and the kind-hearted Amish people in this romantic drama you won't want to put down. The characters are grounded, and the sense of purpose and joy they find in their seemingly simple yet meaningful lives will leave you with a smile on your face. Phoebe is a gentle soul who never misses an opportunity to help others. Her relationship with Stephen feels genuine and will have you rooting for them. This is definitely a worthwhile read for romance lovers.
