In this delightful children’s book, Dr. Tee Tee shares important lessons on how to be a true friend to others. Ife is full of love and wants to help others, no matter where they are from or who they are. Others make fun of Haru in reading class because he struggles with English. Ife offers to help him improve his reading skills and is a true friend. Ife is a little jealous of Deepa because she reads better. One very important lesson that Ife learned is that it is okay to ask for help and continue improving. Encouraging others is a great way to make friends.

The rhyming sentences will help keep your child’s attention as they learn to imagine they are limitless, just like the sky. Rolando DeCastro does a great job with the illustrations. Dr. Tee Tee gives many words of wisdom, including that complaining about a problem never fixes it. At the end of the book is information for parents, teachers, and guardians to share with children. Remember, helpers sometimes need help for themselves.
