Wisdom's Way: Tales, Treasures, Truths by Steven A. Barben, as the title suggests, is essentially a collection of short stories. Wisdom's Way is comprised of numerous tales, each of them on average just a few pages long, and which are meant to provoke the reader to ponder and think. The layout of the book is simple and straightforward, with a preface and then the collection of stories which can be read in any order. Some of the stories end with a direct message or lesson, whereas others leave one with a question mark at the end and make us think about who we are, our values and principles, and whether we would choose the right or wrong path under a given set of circumstances.
Wisdom's Way: Tales, Treasures, Truths by Steven A. Barben is a collection of stories that is fun, entertaining, and yet with an underlying deeper meaning and message. In this, the book reminds me of Aesop’s Fables, or any of the ancient folklore of history that makes use of animals to convey life lessons. A few of the stories are presented in the form of poems and lyrics. Although this book is suitable for reading for children, I think essentially it is meant for adults as the stories are written from a deeper perspective that encourages readers to ponder on life and themselves. All in all, I had fun reading Wisdom's Way: Tales, Treasures, Truths by Steven A. Barben and would recommend it.
