When the executor of a will has two antique specialists appraise some pieces from an estate, they find more than they bargain for in the fascinating amateur sleuth mystery, Where There's A Will (A Glass Dolphin Mystery: Book 3) by Judy Penz Sheluk. When asked to assess the value of a daguerreotype, Arabella Carpenter is thrilled and happy to oblige. However, after she agrees to a contract, Arabella discovers she may have accepted a little too quickly. Emily, her partner in the antique shop, The Glass Dolphin, is an interested party in the sale of the home, and the store's involvement in an appraisal could infer a conflict of interest. Worse yet, Arabella must work with her ex-husband Levon, the appraiser hired to evaluate the estate's furnishings, and for whom she still has mixed feelings. Things become even more complicated when Arabella and Levon find another will that may preclude the present one. While investigating the document, Arabella and Levon uncover some scandalous secrets hidden in the past. How will these indiscretions affect the present? Have Arabella and Levon's discoveries ruined Emily's chances to buy the home of her dreams?
Where There's A Will (A Glass Dolphin Mystery: Book 3) by Judy Penz Sheluk is the perfect cozy mystery to snuggle up with and escape the stress of daily life. Beautifully written, this novel comes to a surprising but happy conclusion. With various aspects in the storyline, it is easy to get caught up in the drama troubling the characters. Arabella and Levon's chemistry is apparent, and I kept my fingers crossed that Arabella would finally get past her doubts and reconcile their estrangement. The mystery of the will is fascinating, and the addition of the Home Makeover series, Pemberton on Property, is a diverting subplot that added intricacy to the plot. This cute amateur sleuth mystery has a nice, surprising romantic twist at the end that completes the series.
