This cute little friendship gift book shows how fun and friendship go together, and it shows it in a humorous and witty way. The author and artist Carla Ventresca and Henry Beckett have together created a unique friendship book featuring friends in ways such as shopping, planting flowers, eating healthy and sometimes not so healthy, and having good clean fun and excitement that only real friends can have. It shows what girlfriends mean to each other, not just in the big things, but in the simpler things in life. And most of all, how girlfriends are made for each other!
I love the cartoon graphics that gives the book a funny look to it. The pink colors of the cover and throughout the book, the Karaoke graphic, the girls singing Dancing Queen and the overall look of the characters just scream girlfriend fun all over it. You will love reading “When I’m Around You” with your favorite girlfriend, and enjoy taking a trip down memory lane together remembering all of the fun times. This would make a perfect anytime gift for a special friend or family member. It is not a big book, just small but made of high quality material and it will easily fit into your purse. And another idea would be mailing it to that someone special, and it is so small it would fit into an envelope, or you could send it with a larger size card. There are all kinds of possibilities with this little book, so why not pick up your copy soon. You will not be disappointed.
