For more than the past year, we have all faced issues created by the dreaded virus Covid-19. It has caused havoc in society and our everyday life. Nancy Panasci has taken the opportunity to author an excellent book on one of the issues to help children understand the changes that we all face. In What Day Is It? Everyday Seems The Same, Nancy deals with the doldrums of staying home day after day with truly minor variations between Monday and the other days of the week. This book gives great ideas of how to restore a bit of normalcy for the family. Nancy shares creative ways to make each day of the week unique and distinguishable. I highly recommend this book for creative ways to help your child deal with living under Covid-19.
In What Day Is It? Nancy Panasci deals with the chaos created by the stay-at-home impact of Covid-19. Nancy deals with children’s struggles in keeping up with the days of the week when they are all just about identical. She suggests and explains how to have a play date online. The family highlighted in the book goes to visit the grandmother but they do not physically encounter each other. They talk on the phone as they sit in front of the grandmother’s house where she is on the porch, seeing them. This creative approach is adapted for each day of the week and helps restore the difference to daily life. This will be a delight for all children. The book has interesting graphics to go along with the easy-to-read text.
