Elf Dust by Nancy E. Merrill is a fun picture book dedicated to the season of Christmas. The opening scene starts at the North Pole. Santa and his elves are busy in their workshop, ensuring all the toys are in stock. Once the toys have been certified, the elves then check Santa's list to see who has been naughty or nice. The elves also visit each child's home to keep an eye on them during this festive period. This will help Santa to determine what gifts to load on his sleigh. The elves inconspicuously hide in plain sight, watching the children as they play. They deliberately leave behind traces of elf dust so that kids will know they are near. Sometimes, if the children are lucky, they might even find a tiny elf slipper as proof that Santa's little helper was there.

Nancy E. Merrill's Elf Dust offers a fun and unique twist on the traditional 'elf on the shelf' Christmas story. It was an absolute delight to read! The book is an enchanting and charming tale that will captivate children and adults alike. After reading this heartfelt book, children everywhere will be excited to search for elf dust in their homes. It is an enjoyable activity that parents—and the entire family—can join in. Colleen Sgroi's illustrations are vibrant and engaging. Each lively drawing brings the magical feeling of Christmas and the holidays to life on every page. The storyline is creative and filled with a comforting reminder that no matter where you are situated, you can still experience the season's celebrations to the fullest. Whether gifted as a holiday treasure or wrapped and placed under the tree, this book will create beautiful memories, ignite imaginations, and kindle festive spirits. It is perfect for joyous family traditions. Overall, Elf Dust is an endearing reminder of what makes Christmas magical.
