Weightless, Woven Words by Umar Siddiqui is a collection of poems told from the perspective and experiences of an extrovert. The poems start with the depressive state and feelings that individuals go through during their lifetime. As you progress, emotions become more intense with greater conviction, understanding, and appreciation of life and its complexities. Common themes in this collection are the past, love for others and yourself, discovering and accepting your identity, and social engagements. The poems are passionate and deeply personal, decoding what people would generally perceive as minuscule details of the emotions resulting from daily interactions and how those details affect your present and future. This collection presents an unusual experience of emotion that is rare in poetry.

Weightless, Woven Words by Umar Siddiqui is an absorbing, complex, and emotionally charged collection. It doesn't merely convey the beauty of life in its complexity and glory, but it examines and scrutinizes the actions and words of all its role players. The conclusion and solutions Siddiqui presents are unique and surprising. There are frequent references to feeling sad, but as he further elaborates, feeling down is part of the journey to "reaching a new mountain top." My favorite poem is Disruption In The Air. Others that also resonated with me include Left To Wonder, Riddle Me This, This House, Euphemisms, Fighter, Too Numb, Give In, and Let It Be. This is a unique collection of poems that I enjoyed reading because of its peculiarities. We read to understand and experience life anew, and that was my experience.
