War of the Heart by Jenna Victoria is another heartwarming and inspiring story in the Snow Globe Christmas Collection. Louise has gone to England as a result of her dying father's last wish. Prior to his death, he gave Louise a snow globe with the date of December 29, 1940, the date that changed everything and forced her great-grandfather to flee England. Louise's mission is to try to clear the Martin family name of accusations of wrongdoing made by the Walker family decades earlier. In England, Louise meets George Walker, the great-grandson of the man who made the accusations. George has an identical snow globe and, when the two are brought together, something amazing happens. Louise and George are transported back to 1940 just before Christmas in war torn England. While Louise tries to discover the truth about what really happened on that fateful day so long ago, she and George begin to have feelings for one another. Determined to fulfill her father's dying wish, and only having a few days to achieve her goal, Louise sets her feelings aside and tries to stay focused. The sights and sounds of war are frightening and threatening for both George and Louise, but they must find the answers in order to return to their own lives in their own time.
Jenna Victoria takes us on a magical journey where faith and trust in God are essential. As Louise and George strive to discover the truth of the past, they cannot help but discover the truth about themselves as they come face to face with the horrors of a war that they could only know from history books. Jenna Victoria's characters are inspiring as they rely on God for strength in such difficult times. These characters and this story will inspire you to be more tolerant and compassionate and to reach out to others in need. I thoroughly enjoyed this book. The story and the characters are interesting and held my attention to the end. As with all of the Snow Globe Christmas Collection books, the reader will be entertained, inspired, and their hearts will certainly be touched. This series could easily become a Christmas classic.
