I have read a lot of self-help books. Too many to list here, but many of them are known to almost everyone who has sought to improve themselves or their lives. A Catholic priest once labeled me as a “seeker” and I don’t mind owning to that. Walking Through Your Walls: Loving Yourself and Everyone Else Vol. 1 by Lynda Lamp is a unique mix of the spiritual, practical, religious, and psychological. I liked it. I found it insightful, meaningful, and practical. Most of all, I found it helpful for me in regards to where I am in my life right now and my desire to be better, to improve, and grow. That made the investment in time and effort to read Walking Through Your Walls well worth it. Lynda Lamp is organized and concise in her thinking and writing. This made Walking Through Your Walls easy to read, even though it takes on huge subjects.
I am a Christian and though I was vaguely aware of Chakras, this is my introduction to it, why it has become important to a lot of people, and how it can help me. In Walking Through Your Walls, Lynda introduces this concept and has set up her own unique support system for those who want to learn more. This is an ancient philosophy, but Lynda uses all the tools of modern technology, including a website and Facebook page, to educate and encourage people who want to learn more. Walking Through Your Walls is beautifully written and there are great quotes from some of the deepest thinkers in human history. You can’t lose by reading Walking Through Your Walls.
