Employees working with gaming corporations are dying, and there are no indications signifying foul play, but a computer geek thinks its murder in the captivating crime novel, Virtually Dead (High-Tech Crime Solvers Book 4 ) by Edwin Dasso. Former Army CID investigator and FBI agent Wes Watley specializes in international crime and anti-terrorism. When an executive of a marketing firm is killed in a car crash, his wife isn't sure it is an accident. Contacting Wes, she asks him to look into her husband's death. Murders are not Wes's specialty, but because a friend asks him to, he takes the case. Wes's partner Cameron, a gifted IT tech, notices something odd in the autopsy. Under alternative light photography, the outline of gaming goggles is imprinted on the corpse's face. When the body of another employee from the same company is discovered, the same anomaly is similarly found on her face. Is Virtual Reality Gaming related to the murders? Is a new kind of serial killer emerging?
Murder and advanced technology are cleverly combined to create a whole new criminal element in the riveting novel, Virtually Dead by Edwin Dasso. It is a breathtaking story where mind-blowing state-of-the-art technology is an intrinsic part of the plot, and computer geeks are the real heroes. With fascinating gaming aspects, interesting characters, and a gripping plot, the book is hard to put down. Blending the unsettling and deviant aspects of the murders together with the unique method of killing, an intense and thrilling storyline is created. The authenticity of the scientific aspects made the crimes even more disturbing. The author has written a brilliant techno murder novel, and I recommend it to those who love an intriguing crime story intertwined with scientific technology.
