Treat yourself to a feel-good romantic comedy with Richard John's The Tag. Alex Crompton has everything he wanted in life, including a promising job at a prestigious media company and the girl of his dreams. Or so he thought. When Alex inadvertently discovers his girlfriend, Monica, is cheating on him, his life threatens to spiral out of control. Soon, however, he meets a beautiful woman named Inés in Ajaccio, Corsica, and strikes up a friendship with her. Despite his growing feelings for Inés, Alex struggles to make a move because she has a boyfriend. Meanwhile, his career is on the upswing, and after a successful project that makes him semi-famous, Alex reveals his true feelings to Inés. Will Alex and Inés end up together?

With a generous helping of romance, humor, and drama, Richard John presents a delightful tale of love, relationships, and career in the modern era. Fans of contemporary romance will devour this book with relish. Whether it's the witty dialogue or the lighthearted tone of the narrative, there is so much to love about this novel. The story is narrated in the first-person POV of the protagonist, Alex, and it helps the reader understand his agency throughout the action. Alex is a likable guy who is easy to root for. Despite his initial anger at his ex-girlfriend, he slowly manages to move on and find the strength to fall in love again. I loved the relationship between Alex and Inés, as well as Alex's interactions with his boss, Ian. The Tag is a gem of a book for readers of contemporary romance!
