Dr. Richard Chase will finally be able to build his own Gastroenterology Endoscopy Center until a jealous colleague shares some negative rumors about him, making his financier back out of their deal. Angry and unable to get over what happened, Richard decides to take justice into his own hands and seek revenge against his colleague. His wife was not happy with what Richard wanted to do and suggested another way he can vent out his anger but he didn't listen; instead he found an ally in another doctor. Will he succeed in avenging himself and his dreams or will his plans backfire in Unhinged by Gary McCarragher.
Gary McCarragher is a really great writer because he can elicit a lot of different emotions in just one read. I felt anxious and excited in the beginning of Unhinged. There was just this feeling that things will not be good for Dr. Chase. But then in the middle of the story, it seemed to be hopeful. And then towards the end of the book it was sad and emotional. More than the emotions were the characters. Dr. Richard Chase was an incredible main character; he was irrational at times and I thought he was going to give up but he is amazing and strong. His family, although reluctant, was also supportive and played a big role in the doctor’s recovery. Everything in the book was written particularly well and it all flowed easily. It made me cry, annoyed, frustrated, and happy; it was really a moving story.
