Blindsided Justice by Dan Romanello is a fast-paced action thriller centered around Dylan Tomassi, a private investor turned protector of justice in the chaos-ridden streets of Tampa. The book begins with a vivid and raw portrayal of a city in turmoil, setting the stage for Dylan to employ his wealth and influence to defend himself and those he loves. The story combines the personal and the political, exploring the consequences of criminal justice reform gone awry, with a local election catalyzing the increase in crime. Romanello successfully weaves in corporate intrigue, legal maneuvering, and physical confrontations.
A mix of success and vulnerability makes Dylan stand out as a protagonist. The pacing is quick, making it hard to put the book down as Dylan navigates a system that seems more interested in political gain than justice.
