Do you have a special playroom where you keep all your toys? Is there a magical key that opens the door to this playroom? Tate and Kate are on another adventure when a rainy day interferes with their plans to go to the park. Mom sends them off with the key to the playroom and they spend the morning using their imaginations and having a great time. In the toy chest they find a fancy dress and a tiara so Kate can be a princess; Tate finds a fancy suit and a wand, so he can be a magician. And the magic of their imagination begins when they enter a fascinating castle all made of fruit.
Twin Adventures: Rainy Day by Pat Henry and Paul Henry IV, is book three of the Twin Adventures Series. Like the previous two books, this charming story enables the characters to inspire young readers to use their imaginations and make up their own adventures and fantasies. The story is told in simple language so young readers can follow along or read on their own and improve their reading skills. The illustrations by Bryant Albert are bright and colorful and certainly help move the story along. The authors use just enough descriptive narrative so readers will feel part of the magical setting that becomes the adventure. Dialogue is well constructed and adds more flavor to the developing plot. The entire series is a great way to introduce young readers to the multiple possibilities in the world of one’s imagination. Beautifully told and presented.
