Trump For The People: The Incredible Journey Is Far From Over by Michael P Healy is an interesting look at Donald Trump's presidency and the factors that played into his election and popularity among conservatives. Whether a Trump fan or not, this is a fascinating look into the rise of Trump, Make America Great Again, and the full spectrum of the man, his politics, and the people who support him, even still. The chapters are presented in a concise, cohesive way, and have an obviously pro-Trump stance. Besides Trump, you get sketches of the major players that positively or negatively impacted his presidency, like Mrs. Clinton, Steele, Mueller, Flynn, and a host of others. The dive into the controversies and successes/failures of the presidency is an intriguing one and will shed light on behind-the-scenes events that shaped public opinion and even policy.
Part retrospective, part rallying cry, Healy has written a book that will definitely appeal to Donald Trump supporters, and unabashedly plays up the successes, but also outlines the shortcomings. The author explains how the Trump train started, gained momentum, and continues even to this day. Healy explains that Trump's popularity grew from unsatisfied conservatives who feel that conservative politicians were ignoring them. Thus, Trump filled this void with his own brand of politics and decisions. The book leaves no stone unturned, even including chapters on the impeachment trial, positive rallies, Operation Warp Speed, the Capitol breach, and the hotly debated and contested 2020 election process. It has a positive thread running through it, theorizing that Donald Trump could and should move forward in the political arena. Trump For The People: The Incredible Journey Is Far From Over by Michael P Healy would make a great gift for Trump fans and those who love politics and history.
