Tree Full of Wonder: An Educational, Rhyming Book about Magic of Trees for Children explains the changes that trees go through during the seasons, showing this warmly and lovingly. Anna Smithers explains the benefits of trees so that children can appreciate them. Here you will learn how healthy and useful it is to be near trees. Smithers discusses basic ideas such as how trees provide us with oxygen and she explains other aspects, such as how they communicate with each other through their roots. This book will help children understand how trees are part of the solution to climate change, so they will have a better attitude to nature and will also find suggestions that they can put into practice.
This is a lovely book. Tree Full of Wonder has a wonderful presentation and the light effects in each image give a very comfortable feeling. On most of the pages, there is an almost magical autumnal atmosphere. At the end of the book comes a section on how to recognize trees by their shape, color, and type of leaf. It also includes a section with tips to help trees, assist ecology, as well as recycle. I liked the way Anna Smithers promotes interest in children to care for the environment with a book that is entertaining and makes a great educational contribution. It is an excellent way to expand youngsters' ecological knowledge and teach children that trees are our companions.
