D.O.L: Light Running is the third novel in the D.O.L series by authors Bryan Hill and Jason Logan Maxwell. The trials and tribulations of Lilly continue as she gets her first mission. Lilly needs to survive the boot camp and thrive in it. The training was tough, and the tasks were challenging, but things went awry when a simple mission turned out to be her most difficult. After leaving the boot camp behind in North Carolina, Lilly went back to New York and faced new challenges with some old friends. Just when things started to get better, some old enemies resurfaced and challenged Lilly and co once more. Filled with new confidence, Lilly was ready to face the Black Mambas to beat them once and for all. Can she do it? Or will this be her last dance?
Fascinating and packed with action, Light Running is the perfect continuation of Lilly’s story. This is the first part of the third book in the series, and I loved how the authors build tension as the story progresses. The supernatural element was unexpected but not unwelcome. It added something new to the story and made Lilly’s journey even more entertaining. I enjoyed Lilly’s development and how she grew into this confident young woman. The narrative style was perfect, the pace of the story fast, and everything felt in sync. I enjoyed the descriptions and how everything came to life on the pages. Authors Bryan Hill and Jason Logan Maxwell did a fantastic job with the ending and the buildup to it. I cannot wait to read the next part!
