The Spirit of Man by Michael E.B. Maher is an insightful and thought provoking book that will help readers understand more about their spirit and how to develop it. There is lot more to human beings other than their physical bodies, and the book tells us how the inward man is also made up of more than one part; spirit, mind, will, and conscience. The book speaks about human beings born on earth being spirits, and how the human body perishes when the spirit leaves the body. Spirits are eternal and they never cease to exist. As the book progresses, readers get to understand how to experience the fullness of life and more about Jesus Christ.
The book is profound and the author connects readers with quotes from the scriptures that help them understand that the life of God is the light of man. The book reiterates the presence of Jesus Christ in everybody’s lives, and teaches them that God is love. The author also throws light on how the sin of Adam and Eve killed their spirits, Satan, and death. I found the words in this book made me ponder about life, death, God, spirits, and how Jesus lived a sinless life as a man on earth. The writing style is simple and it is easy for readers to comprehend the contents and understand what the author is trying to convey. It is also a good way to understand the Psalms and the scriptures so that all believers can grow in their faith and reach their full potential.
