The Sisters Of Dragoness: Quagmire's Revenge by Alisa Guttadauro focuses on the adventures of Raven and Ruby Shadowstone, daughter of Willow and Edrical Shadowstone. The girls’ father, a great wizard who died a hero’s death many years ago, supposedly died at the hands of the evil dragon, Quagmire. The same evil dragon is trying to make a return, eager to exert his wrath and make many suffer. Dragoness, a land in the kingdom of Equonicous, which was once a peaceful place for all of its inhabitants, is in danger and it’s up to Raven and Ruby to sharpen, learn, and discover new skills to keep their land and everyone they love safe from the looming danger.
Sisters Of Dragoness, Quagmire's Revenge has a very interesting, unique concept that centers around the adventures and lives of two sisters in the land of Dragoness. Raven, the oldest of the two, has come into her powers while Ruby hasn’t fully developed hers yet. Both need considerable training especially with the looming threat of Quagmire’s return. Their training becomes even more complicated when they have to find the remaining two of the three dragons’ eggs and the missing third stone of their father’s trident. Thankfully, they are never short of people willing to help with every challenge they encounter. Their constant trials and troubles come together into an exciting plot I was eager to follow with every turn of the page. Alisa Guttadauro’s Sisters Of Dragoness is impressive and lengthy in depiction and detail. Guttadauro balances the details with conflict that possesses just the right amount of danger and adventure. At its core, this story is intriguing and alluring, a valuable reading experience.
