Rainstorm Revolt by Randall Jarmon starts off in the shadows of suspense and never lets you go. Beginning in an empty room and a video conference between a former government operative and three hooded men named Freedom 1, 2 and 3, the tone is set for a suspenseful thriller. Lena Wysocki has been given 8 months to live, but she's been asked to use those final months to do the impossible; destroy the Federal Revenue Service which has taken on a Gestapo level of authority within the United States. Assembling an international team of clandestine operators, Lena must steal a half-dozen, small, tactical nukes in order to take out America's new totalitarian tax structure and begin the restoration of freedom. Up against insurmountable odds and with time running out, it's anyone's guess whether the job can be done at all. If it is, it will take every skill Lena has ever used in her life and plenty of determination to get past the physical limitations which are beginning to limit a body that was once an effective killing machine.
Randall Jarmon hits a little close to reality in Rainstorm Revolt. With America's modern political system rapidly approaching the type of taxation model that is described by Jarmon, more than a few chills will zip up your spine when you take on this thriller. Drawn in from the outset, the reader is immediately by Lena's side, feeling the aches, pains, limitations and impossible odds that she must overcome in order to do what needs to be done. There's never a dull moment in Rainstorm Revolt as you're led along on an action packed quest to restore America's freedom. You won't be able to put it down.
